Two major NHS trusts, University College London Hospitals and University Hospital Southampton, fell victim to a cyberattack exploiting a software vulnerability, compromising staff data. Cybersecurity firm EclecticIQ revealed the hack potentially allows further access into hospital networks. The breach was traced to a Chinese IP address, similar to previous breaches by China-based actors. Despite the vulnerability being patched, compromised systems may still be at risk.
