Russian Hackers Breach 20+ NGOs Using Evilginx Phishing via Fake Microsoft Entra Pages

Russia-linked hacking group Void Blizzard (also known as Laundry Bear) has been operating since at least April 2024, mainly targeting organizations important to Russian government objectives. It launches opportunistic, high-volume attacks using unsophisticated techniques and stolen credentials. The group focuses on NATO member states and Ukraine and its attacks aim to gather intelligence to further Russia’s strategic objectives. It is understood that the hackers often purchase stolen sign-in details from online marketplaces to gain access to these organizations.
