SK Telecom uncovered a malware attack that went undetected for two years, resulting in the leak of 26.69 million IMSI units and 9.82 GB of USIM data. In response, the telecom firm has implemented preventative protocols, stopped new subscriber sign-ups, and launched a program to replace all SIM cards. An upgraded fraud detection system is now in place. SK Telecom has promised to take full responsibility for damages, including offering to replace the USIM of all 25 million subscribers for free.
