US and European law enforcement agencies, with the help of multiple cybersecurity companies, disrupted the Russia-based DanaBot malware operation that caused over $50 million in damages and infected more than 300,000 systems. The US Justice Department charged 16 individuals, including two Russian nationals, with various crimes related to the scheme.
