RVTools Official Site Hacked to Deliver Bumblebee Malware via Trojanized Installer

The official site for RVTools was hacked and used to distribute a trojanized version of the VMware utility. The infected installer contained a known malware loader called Bumblebee. Meanwhile, Procolored printers were found to be shipped with backdoor malware XRed and clipper malware SnipVex, which was used to substitute wallet addresses for cryptocurrency transactions. The company believes the malware may have been introduced during a software update process in 2024.
