Leading Chinese printer manufacturer, Procolored, has inadvertently distributed malware, backdoors, and crypto stealers through its software installations for six months, according to cybersecurity researchers G Data. The discovery was made after a YouTube content creator found the Floxif worm when trying to install printer software. Almost 10 BTC, close to one million dollars, was allegedly stolen during this time.
