North Korean Hackers Use Fake U.S. Companies to Spread Malware in Crypto Industry: Report

North Korean hackers reportedly set up shell companies in the US to penetrate the crypto sector and target developers via fake job offers, according to security firm Silent Push. Part of a broader campaign by state-sponsored hacker group Lazarus, the fake firms facilitated the delivery of malware that could lead to data theft and facilitate spyware or ransomware attacks. The FBI has since seized one such domain, Blocknovas.
