The stolen data included sensitive personal and medical information of the patients. The case was reported to the US Department of Health and Human Services without revealing the total number. No ransomware group has yet claimed responsibility.

Over 5.5 million people were affected by a data breach involving an “unauthorized third party” on Yale New Haven Health’s network (YNHHS) on March 8.
