Over 2,000 patient files from Adelaide’s Women’s and Children’s Hospital were accessed during a ransomware attack targeting third-party company Compumedics. The company, which supplies sleep study software globally, reported that names, addresses, phone numbers, birth dates, and “limited clinical information” of patients were likely accessed. This did not include financial or Medicare information. The SA Health has taken action to verify this information, and notify the patients and the public.
