RFK Jr. set to announce a plan to ban certain artificial food dyes

The Trump administration plans to eliminate petroleum-based synthetic dyes from the US food supply, increasing pressure on food companies. HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. advocates this effort and recently travelled to West Virginia promoting the state’s ban on certain food dyes from school lunches. The FDA states approved artificial food additives are safe but will continue to evaluate new findings for safety.
