European cyber security firm Nviso has found a new variant of the Brickstorm malware that targets Windows systems and is linked to Chinese spy group UNC5221. The malware steals information from western firms. Brickstorm had previously been found on Linux systems by Mandiant, a Google subsidiary. The new discovery suggests the potential for widespread impact on Windows infrastructures.
