Cigna Healthcare has topped a J.D. Power U.S. Healthcare Digital Experience Study into commercial health plan member satisfaction with digital experiences. The study, which evaluated factors such as visual appeal and navigation, placed Cigna at the head of the field, while UPMC Health Plan lead on Medicare Advantage plans. Overall, the study suggested health insurance providers lag other sectors in terms of offering robust digital experiences. J.D. Power also reported that customer satisfaction was higher among those using the mobile application of a health plan, rather than its website or by phone.
