WatchGuard Technologies has released its Internet Security Report for Q4 2024, revealing a 94% rise in network malware as cybercriminals exploit advanced, encrypted connections. The report also highlighted a 74% increase in Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) Blocker detections and a 315% rise in proactive machine learning detection from IntelligentAV. Other notable findings included a significant increase in crypto miner detection (141%) and a rise in Linux-based threats.
