A series of workshops explored how society might govern itself if starting anew, with technological advances offering new possibilities. The discussions covered age or random-based representation, term lengths, direct democracy, potential roles of AI, the size and scope of government, sortition, liquid democracy and considerations of universal interests. The absence of final answers was expected, with the inquiry aimed at encouraging broader, radical thinking about the potential evolution of political systems, beyond incremental changes. The workshop plans to reconvene in December 2025.
