Data breach at Oracle Health leads to extortion of hospitals

A legacy server at Oracle Health was reportedly breached with patient data stolen. The issue was first reported by BleepingComputer and later confirmed by Bloomberg. Notifications suggested that hackers accessed “some amount” of Cerner data stored on the server. Oracle announced it will identify affected individuals but would not notify them directly. The FBI is investigating the breach.
