Approximately 90% of healthcare companies are vulnerable to ransomware attacks due to insecure internet connections, says cybersecurity firm Claroty. The study, which analysed data from over 350 healthcare organisations, found that 78% had paid ransoms of more than $500,000. Cybersecurity incidents can be expensive, including service disruption and lawsuits. Cybercriminals are exploiting known vulnerabilities in internet-facing devices.
