Cybersecurity experts are warning about a new Android malware which is using Microsoft’s .NET MAUI to fly under the radar. The malware is disguised as legitimate services, such as banking and social media apps, and is currently targeting Indian and Chinese-speaking users, although there is potential for it to be used more broadly. The malware utilises Binary Large Object or ‘blob’ files, which are not typically inspected by Android security tools, allowing for stealthy, immediate attacks.
