NSW Police investigating ‘significant’ Department of Communities and Justice data breach

The New South Wales (NSW) Police has launched a probe into a serious data breach at the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), where 9,000 “sensitive court files” were accessed. The information was downloaded from the DCJ’s NSW Online Registry. No responsible party has claimed yet the breach and no data has been made public yet, according to a DCJ spokesperson.
