New ReaderUpdate malware variants target macOS users

Multiple versions of ReaderUpdate malware, now written in Crystal, Nim, Rust, and Go, are targeting macOS users, warn SentinelOne researchers. This macOS malware loader remained largely undetected and has re-emerged with new variants that spread via older infections and third-party downloads. SentinelOne suggests the malicious code may be used to offer Pay-Per-Install or Malware-as-a-Service.
