Steam pulls game demo infecting Windows with info-stealing malware

Video game marketplace Steam has removed the game “Sniper: Phantom’s Resolution” due to reports it was infecting user systems with malware. Players first suspected an issue when they noticed game assets and descriptions were copied from other games. A closer look at the installer file revealed it contained a series of attack tools. The game’s developer website has also been taken offline. Users who installed the game are advised to uninstall it and run a full system scan.
