Almost 1 million business and home PCs compromised after users visited illegal streaming sites: Microsoft

The malware usually isn’t harmful until the user manually allows it to run, thus being cautious and not allowing unverified content to run is essential. For businesses, running an ad-blocker is necessary for additional protection against malware advertisements. Lately, malicious ads have also been found on legitimate sites. In a recent campaign, malware was primarily distributed through GitHub.
