Gmail users given urgent ‘change setting’ warning after detection of new cyber attack

Google has issued a warning to Google Calendar users about a phishing attack. Hackers are sending seemingly harmless invitations that, when accepted, provide the hackers with personal data. Google is advising users not to accept invitations, while enabling the “known senders” setting in Google Calendar to further safeguard users. So far Check Point researchers have found 4,000 phishing emails with this hack in a four week period.
