Cybersecurity expert Adebayo Yusuf Balogun has developed the Hybrid Cryptographic Transition Model (HCTM) to secure electronic health records against cyber threats, including quantum computing. HCTM enables healthcare organisations to transition from traditional encryption to quantum-resistant cryptography, protecting data long-term. HCTM has three phases: assessing risk and infrastructure, implementing hybrid cryptographic systems, and transitioning fully to post-quantum cryptography. Balogun’s research identified Falcon as the best post-quantum cryptographic algorithm for telemedicine.
