Cybercriminals Exploit YouTubers to Spread SilentCryptoMiner on Windows Systems

A sophisticated malware campaign has exploited the popularity of Windows Packet Divert drivers to distribute SilentCryptoMiner malware, affecting over 2,000 victims in Russia alone. The malware uses popular YouTubers to spread its payload, by threatening channel shutdowns unless they post videos with malicious links. The malware, a stealthy cryptocurrency mining threat, can be used for more serious attacks, including data theft and additional malware deployment.
