More than a million Chinese-made off-brand Android devices have been sold carrying a Trojan known as Badbox, according to cybersecurity firm Human Security. The malware was found in a broad range of devices. It is suspected that these devices have been used for programmatic ad fraud, click fraud, and as proxies for hackers. The most affected region is South America, most especially Brazil.
