Cybersecurity firm Trend Micro has flagged a new hacking method in the US where attackers use Microsoft Teams for social engineering schemes, to gain access to a victim’s computer. They then insert flawed .DLL files via legitimate remote desktop tools, bypassing firewall restrictions and allowing them to launch attacks on the victim’s computer. Traditional antivirus solutions may not be effective and businesses must strengthen their security measures, Trend Micro suggested.
