Dark Caracal, a hacker group known for cyber espionage, could be shifting to use Poco RAT, a new form of malware, in its operations, say researchers from Moscow-based cybersecurity firm Positive Technologies. Their research found Poco RAT, which has characteristics similar to Dark Caracal’s signature malware, Bandook, in networks across Latin America. They believe financial motivations drive these malware campaigns.
