Vo1d Botnet’s Peak Surpasses 1.59M Infected Android TVs, Spanning 226 Countries

Android TV devices in Brazil, South Africa, Indonesia, Argentina, and Thailand have been infected by a botnet malware called Vo1d. The malware, which evolved to enhance its stealth, resilience, and anti-detection capabilities, affected Android-based TV boxes and mainly “off-brand” TV models. Vo1d is suspected to be leased to criminals and maintains full control over devices, enabling large-scale cyberattacks.
