Hackers Impersonate Taiwan’s Tax Authority to Deploy Winos 4.0 Malware

FortiGuard Labs has discovered a new malware campaign, named Winos 4.0, attacking Taiwanese businesses primarily through Windows platforms. The malicious software was found in a phishing email impersonating Taiwan’s National Taxation Bureau, which contained a malicious DLL file within a seemingly official document. The malware commits various malicious tasks, including hiding windows and stealing sensitive information.
