Bluesight has released its 2025 Breach Barometer report which revealed more than 300 million US patient healthcare records were breached in 2024, a 26% increase from 2023. The breaches disrupted hospital operations and eroded patient trust. The report also found breach notifications took an average of 205 days after an event. Kevin MacDonald, Bluesight CEO, called for a stronger approach to data security within the healthcare industry.
