Cybersecurity firm Proofpoint identified two new cybercriminal actors, TA2726 and TA2727, involved in malware distribution campaigns. TA2726 is noted for its traffic distribution service, particularly targeting users in North America. TA2727 is linked to the delivery of a new information-stealer malware targeting MacOS users named FrigidStealer, and the Lumma and Marcher viruses which target Windows and Android systems. Proofpoint urged organisations to remain vigilant against these evolving web threats by implementing network detection rules, user training and browser isolation tools.
