Change Healthcare notifies customers of its data breach

VIVA Health has revealed that the data of about 22,000 customers was exposed during a ransomware attack and data breach at UnitedHealth Group’s Change Healthcare. This attack, which took place in February 2024 and affected healthcare organizations throughout the United States, led to VIVA taking steps to safeguard customer data. Change Healthcare has commenced notifying affected customers and offering resources for individual protection, including two years of free identity protection and credit monitoring.
