The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) is seeking to reverse termination notices sent to several employees involved in bird flu response efforts. The USDA noted that roles such as veterinarians and animal health technicians should be exempt from the Trump administration’s downsizing plans. Politico reports that the USDA cut a quarter of the National Animal Health Laboratory Network staff and other employees were notified of job losses.
