US health officials at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) have announced expected termination of positions of most of its 5,200 probationary employees as a part of billionaire Elon Musk’s task force efforts to curtail the federal government’s probationary workers. In total, 1,300 employees have been fired at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including 50 first-year officers.
