A new study has revealed an increase in infant mortality rates in US states that have implemented abortion bans following the 2022 overturning of Roe v. Wade. Researchers found that 478 infant deaths across 14 states could have been avoided if the bans were not in place. The findings also exposed a rise in the infant mortality rates among babies with congenital issues and those from historically higher-death rate groups.
