Hackers Somehow Uploaded a Game Full of Malware on Steam

Hackers uploaded a malware-infested pirate-themed game called PirateFi to Steam under the developer name Seaworth Interactive. Approximately 800 to 1,500 users downloaded the game before it was removed, potentially compromising their online accounts as the malware attempted to steal browser cookies. The suspicious developer had no website or social media presence, raising questions about how Steam permitted this and what will be done to prevent similar future attacks.
