You May Have Downloaded A Malware Game on Steam

The beta game PirateFi, briefly hosted on Steam, infected users’ systems with malware. The malware stole browser cookies to access user’s online accounts, with some reporting compromised accounts and stolen money. Steam removed the game and advised affected users to run a full scan with antivirus software, or potentially reinstall their operating system. It is estimated that over 800 users have been affected.
