Cyberattack forces radiology practice to close ‘for the foreseeable future’

Pinehurst Radiology Associates has closed indefinitely following a cyberattack. The North Carolina-based radiology practice observed suspicious network activity before launching an investigation, aided by cybersecurity specialists and legal counsel. As the inquiry continues, their systems are offline, and they can’t schedule mammograms or ultrasounds. It has urged patients to contact their referral sources regarding upcoming appointments. The cyberattack has not affected partner hospital FirstHealth, which has lengthened its hours, added appointment slots, and offers these services across several campuses.
