The breach exposed ID numbers, names, dates of birth, national insurance numbers, addresses, email addresses, and employment details of BBC staff. The incident occurred due to a vulnerability in a file transfer tool used by Zellis. Employees affected may be entitled to compensation for distress and financial losses.
