VeraCore zero-day vulnerabilities exploited in supply chain attacks

The XE Group, a cybercriminal gang, exploited zero-day vulnerabilities in VeraCore’s warehouse management software to disrupt supply chains in manufacturing and distribution. The flaws, a critical upload validation and a medium-severity SQL injection, were first taken advantage of in 2020. Researchers from Intezer and Solis Security discovered the XE Group’s activities and noted the gang’s increasing sophistication and adaptability.
