Research by Kaspersky discovered that SparkCat, which infects mobile apps, targets specific regions differently. Despite this, the apps could work globally, posing a broader risk. So far, 18 Android and 10 iOS apps have been marked as infected, including the Android app, ChatAi, which had over 50,000 downloads before its removal from the Google Play Store.
