Representatives within Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) have obtained significant access to a range of US government departments and significant streams of sensitive data, raising questions over the security clearances and cybersecurity practices of the group. Created in 2017, DOGE has met little resistance to its operations. Actions towards increased cybersecurity are now advised after a DOGE staffer reportedly used their own Gmail account to access a government call.
