The Upper Canada District School Board has revealed an extensive data breach, following a cyberattack in early January. Thousands of current and past students and employees may have been affected, as well as donors to the board’s Champions 4 Kids foundation. Although the board states that the risk of misuse of stolen data is low, it has offered two years of credit monitoring for all those impacted.
