Surge in Infostealer Attacks Threatens EMEA Organizations

Check Point’s latest EMEA Cyber Threat Intelligence report highlights a 58% increase in infostealer attacks in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa over the past year. Over 10 million stolen credentials linked to EMEA organisations are reportedly available in cybercrime markets. The three leading infostealer malware strains are AgentTesla, Lumma Stealer, and FormBook. Furthermore, African countries, particularly Ethiopia, are more targeted amid a rise in session hijacking and stolen credentials.
