Over 5,000 SonicWall firewalls remain vulnerable to a high-severity vulnerability (CVE-2024-53704), putting them at risk of imminent attack, despite the availability of a patch. The vulnerability allows remote attackers to bypass authentication. The exploit was confirmed by Bishop Fox researchers who successfully exploited the vulnerability on unpatched SonicWall firewalls. SonicWall is urging users to implement the security update as soon as possible.
