CISOs Are Gaining C-Suite Swagger

The chief information security officers’ (CISOs) role has expanded beyond IT security, with 82% of CISOs reporting directly to the CEO and 83% regularly participating in board meetings, according to a survey by Splunk. But, only 29% feel they have the necessary budget to face current threats. The survey also revealed that boards with cybersecurity experts are more effective in setting strategy and budgeting.
