U.S. Sanctions Chinese Cybersecurity Firm Over Treasury Hack Tied to Silk Typhoon

The US Treasury has imposed sanctions on Chinese cybersecurity firm Sichuan Juxinhe Network Technology and cyber actor Yin Kecheng over alleged connections to the hacking groups Salt Typhoon and Silk Typhoon, and recent cyber attacks on federal infrastructure. The sanctions come as the Federal Communications Commission introduces rules requiring telecoms firms to protect their networks from unauthorised access.
