OneBlood Confirms Ransomware Attack – Donor’s Personal Information Stolen

OneBlood, a major blood donation nonprofit in the southeastern U.S., experienced a large data breach due to a ransomware attack in July 2024. Unauthorized access resulted in the compromise of sensitive donor information, like names and social security numbers, disrupting operations and causing severe blood shortages. OneBlood is now offering 12 months of free credit monitoring and identity theft restoration to affected individuals.
