The European Commission unveiled an action plan for bolstering cybersecurity in the healthcare sector. The plan will supplement the European Health Data Space to further digitise healthcare across the EU. Priorities of the plan include prevention, identification, response, and deterrence of cyber security threats, to be executed between 2025 and 2026 with support from the EU cybersecurity agency, ENISA. The project comes in response to serious cybersecurity incidents recorded in 2023.
