DOJ, FBI delete PlugX malware from thousands of infected computers

The FBI and Department of Justice deleted PlugX malware from over 4,000 US computer networks infected by Chinese hacker group Mustang Panda. The operation demonstrates the FBI’s determination to confront cyber threats from the People’s Republic of China (PRC), revealed Philadelphia Special Agent in Charge. Those suspecting compromised devices are encouraged to report to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center.
